Can a blood parrot live with 3 female convicts?

What fish live well with blood parrot fish?

  • I have a 75gal tank and one blood parrot and a large gold fish. they live happily together but i know the blood parrots is aggressive. i want to get another fish. what kind will fit happily into my tank with the others? would another blood parrots do ok? please let me know asap Im goin in to look at fish today.

    You realize goldfish and blood parrot cichlids are not compatible, right? Goldfish are cold water fish, if kept in tropical water they can become oxygen deprived, which causing nerve damage, heart damage and can greatly weaken the immune system. When tropical fish are kept in cold water, they will of corse become lethargic, which will stress out the fish. shortening the lifespan and weakening the immune system. Making it more susceptible to diseases, parasites, bacterial infections and other sicknesses. Needless to say, you need to get rid of one. With both the goldfish and parrot cichlid your tank is fully stocked. Blood parrots are really better off in species tank. I don't recommend keeping any other fish with it other then its own kind.
