Can anyone give a picture that shows the evolution of fish?

Is this big enough for my betta and another fish?

  • I was wandering if this vase is big enough for my Betta fish (already in it) and possibly another fish. As you can see the Lipton Green Tea bottle shows you how big it is (almost a foot tall and about four inches in diameter). If I were to put another fish it it, I'd throw in a Tetra or something along those lines. Anyone's answers will help :) Here's a link to the picture: http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd303/fefner/0908081534.jpg

I hope this is a joke. If so it's not funny. If not, it's still not funny. A Betta should have at least a 2.5 gallon, heated tank. Small cup to quart sized containers may be used to display them in stores that don't plan to have them very long, or by breeders who keep the young males in them until ready to sell. There were never intended to be kept in containers of this size.

No. And I'd get your betta into a larger more proper home that has more surface area on top of the water. They breath the air and having such giant fins, it's hard for them to swim vertically. He has very little surface area to skim around. Tetra need a filtered tank of at least a gallon. ANd even then, they won't be happy, they are schooling fish and need 6+ in a school. http://www.nippyfish.net/choosingatank.html

no he needs a 2.5 gallon TANK minimum tetras need to school in a minimum group of 6 so for 6 small tetras and a betta 10 gallons would be good also bettas are tropical fish YOU MUST GET A HEATER good luck

NO WAY!! that looks like a drinking glass to me and theres no way even the betta will be happy alone in their theirs just no space for it to swim and grow, also putting anything besides a female with your male betta will result in the other fish being picked on and most likely being killed. Bettas are very teritorial and wont hesitate in such a small space to kill the other fish, i've had a betta kill plecos twice its size before, they can be mean little guys.

OMG !!! no way, i have one of these in a 4ft tank and he loves to swim up and down and to open those lovely fins up. sort it out please

Is that a goldfish aquarium in the pic behind the drinking glass tank? At least get a 10 gallon tank. How would you like living in a tall small closet? The other fish should include a chinese algae eater and a small catfish. Then all three wont need air support.

TAN

No No No. This is way too small for the Betta which needs and deserves at least 1 gallon of water to be happy. Please please please invest in a decent home for this beautiful fish.

omg how can u keep your fish in suck cramp conditions its like would you wanna live in a small cardboard box and not b allowed out for your whole life come on

Tim

NO! You can barely keep a betta in there. Heres a small, but good tank that I suggest: https://secure.petco.com/product/8280/PETCO-2-Gallon-Hexagon-Mini-Fresh-Water-Aquarium.aspx With that you could only keep a betta. Still no other fish. You can absolutely, positively, not keep a tetra in a bowl. 1. They're schooling fish and need to be kept in groups of 6+. 2. They need a bigger, filtered tank. Good luck! I hope that you decide to get a bigger (filtered) tank.
