What can I put with my betta?
-
Okay, so I know this has been asked so many times and I have done research but my betta is very aggressive and attack anything(he attacks new decorations lol) is there ANY fish I can put with him? My other betta is pretty clam I had a molly (I think) and all he did was flare out and of chase him. I took the molly out and gave it to a friend of mine. Would I be able to put put fish in there? Oh and I have a 15 gallon tank a none see through divider, a heater, a filter, ect.

Answer:
Bettas are best kept with peaceful, small bottom dwellers such as Cory Cats, Otos, and smaller species of Plecos. Certain mid-top shoaling fish can work with Bettas, but if they are overly active they tend to stress Bettas out. A 15 gallon divided in half means you just have roughly 7 gallons to a side, which really limits the number of options you have for tank mates. If you have just 1 Betta you could definitely work things out. 15 gallon with 1 Betta and like 5 Pygmy/Panda Corys could work. I housed Bettas with Leopard, Albino, Sterbai, and Peppered Corys in the past. Didn't have issues but the community tank was big (55 gallons). I've also housed Bettas with: - Harlequin Rasboras - Ghost Shrimp [adults, babies will be taken by the Betta as food] - Amano Shrimp - Neon Tetras - Otos - Pitbull Pleco - Bristlenose Pleco - Some Snails [Ramshorn, Malaysian Trumpet, Nerite] FYI different Bettas have varying degrees of territorial aggression. The more territorial ones are best kept alone, but I find Corys with their armored backs and different place in the tank (right at the bottom) work with almost all Bettas.

Honestly nothing . A beta fish is naturally teratorial with other fish . The best thing to do is keep your beta fish away from other fish

you cant put ANY fish with a betta, because they will kill each other! dont even put a fish next to your betta's tank because they will still fight!
if your betta is male i so then dont get another male because one will end up dead pretty quick. male bettas are normally kept on there own as they are aggressive and territorial, but if its female it should be fine with any other peaceful fish female bettas can be kept together unlike the males but should be kept in groups or 3 or more.

Nothing really, if he attacks decorations, there's a big chance that he's going to attack other fish, you MIGHT have a slight chance of putting in a snail or some shrimp, but anything else, no sorry Hope this helps!
