How to tell a female and male society finch apart?

Why isnt my society finch flying?

  • I baught a society finch from Petsmart than 2 days later i got a 2 month old zebra finch from my friend. I put them in the same cage. They dont fight at all. There both male. I never took them out till rescently where my z.finch flys everywhere but my s.finch only flys short distances. Hes about less than 6 months old. What could be his problem? What should i do?

OMGs! Your spelling is atrocious. Hard to understand with such poor spelling. What country are you from?? Do nothing. Nothing. And letting them fly in your house can be deadly to them. Sooner or later one will fly into a window and break it's neck. The Society finch will fly when it is ready and has build enough muscle mass to fly. It is better to have a flight cage for them and not let them fly through the house.
