  You can go online and get the kit and do it your self and send it off for results but this involves getting a blood sample so if your not experienced I wouldn't try it though it is simple if you can handle your bird. It cost $25-40 same as an avian vet however if you haven't had your bird seen by an avian vet before then your a new patient it will most likely cost $100-$150 because they will want to do a whole health check up for your bird and for there records then that will be your birds doctor and it will be easier to get your bird check ups etc. if they have a avian vet they go to regularly not any vet office can see birds only a vet office with an avian vet just look for one near you.
