Because Easter Sunday was a religious Holiday, and was perverted by the pagan's, just as all religious Holiday's have been. None of it is suppose to make any sense, it is there to confuse you, and draw your attention from your creator, while you chase little pink bunny's and hunt for Easter egg's.

The church decided to help to convert pagans by making Easter fall around the same time as the spring fertility festivals. Also to keep the people happy the symbols of fertility rabbits and eggs were allowed to stay a part of the celebration.

The easter bunny and the eggs are symbols of fertility and the godess Easter, honnored at the spring equinox....somehow the christians morphed that into a holiday about a dead guy comeing back from the grave....
