Hiya I feed my baby quails: - Mealworms. - Chickstarted or quail food mixed with budgie seed. - Grass. - Chickweed. My quails are n my avairy and they just pick through the seed and stuff on the floor and the little insects

Well if you bought them in captivity then they will need to start out with some chick feed. wich is also known as starter feed. Mix a little water in and stir it. Then place it in a pie bin like container. If you got them from the wild then take hot water and dog food. Mix with suger and one hard boilded egg yolk. Then put that in a pie like bin and feed that to them. Make sure that when keeping them keep em in a nice box with a brooder.(heat lamp)

Insects and/or grain.

They should be feed Game Bird Starter Feed. It is higher protein than regular chicken feed and will give them a much better start. After they are grown we feed Game bird feed. It also is high in protein than chicken feed.
