Where can I buy the Florida orange bird?

Will the store still let me buy a bird?

  • Okay, so I bought a bird and he seemed already sick, but I did not know this at the time. After a few days he died most likely he was sick already from the petstore. My sibling's own bird (one bought the same day) fell ill so we brought him back to the pet store. After that the manager got mad and complained about how we brought in a sick bird and a dead bird when it most likely caught disease from the store. I only found this out after researching signs of illness. We did not return the other bird the store is treating him with medicine. However, I have a new bird that I bought from the store and he fell ill too, even though he looked healthy at the time of purchase. I am planning on seeing if they will treat this bird too and bring him to the vet like they did ther other one. (Can't bring to the vet myself because my parents refuse to let me! Because it would cost more than the bird and I can't find bird medicine anywhere!) BUT my OTHER sibling has had a healthy bird from day 1 but it is rather lonely she wants to buy another but is afraid the pet store will refuse her to purchase one if we have brought in 1 dead and soon to be 2 sick. Can they deny her of buying a pet due to these complicatuons. PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS AND ANSWER THE QUESTION! Sorry its soW long I just wanted to throughly explain the situation

  • Answer:

The manger is a fool since you got the birds there and they became ill its the pet store's responsibility to look into the matter and see if they are dealing in selling sick birds I do believe they have an animal law they have to follow for the transportation of animals to their store.Plus they should be willing to give you another bird at a drop of a hat since word of mouth can either make a business or break a business. If have a healthy bird be sure to keep a close eye on it so it does'nt become ill as well. and I would find another pet store to deal with since you had 2 and they both became ill tyhis would tell me they are dealing sick animals and I would say all the animals are ill May be or not I would NOT take a chance on any of the animals in this store.............

I wouldn't buy from them again. Try a diffrent store or breeder odds are that almost all of thier birds are ill.

#1 I agree, you should not be afraid to go back to the store and tell them that you have another sick bird, and you should complain and demand that they treat the bird and/or refund your money #2 birds are smart animals with huge hearts and huge personalities just like adog and if you adopt one you should be willing to take it to the vet... I don't know what kind of bird you bought but even if its small it'll like at least 10 years which is quite a commitment. If you cannot afford the vet bills you shouldn't adopt one! #3 don't go back to that store. Why would you keep going back somewhere that is selling sick birds? AND not standing behind their animals? Go to another store and ask them BEFORE you buy the bird if they'll give you any kind of health garuntee. Good luck, hope your luck changes
