Were can i buy a savannah monitor or a water monitor online?

Try reptile rescue centres, they are usually desperate to re-home large potentially dangerous lizards like these because thousands are handed in every year by people who didn't realise just how big the animal would get, how much its food bill would be and then there's vets bills. Plus ideally you need a Minimum of 8x3x3feet enclosure fo a Savannah/Bosc Monitor. Bigger for a water monitor with a water feature it can swim in - bath tubs are ideal. Before you purchase something as large and dangerous make sure you have everything in place for caring for it all the way to adulthood. Remember Savannah Monitors MAY tame - the 000's of people with bad tempered ones don't mention them because they usually get rid of them. Water Monitors Wont tame - you are going to end up with a lizard measuring 6feet. Bad tempered hissy ones are the tame ones. The nasty ones are permanently in defend by attacking mode

first off do you have any experience with reptiles? if not turn back now and get a beginner reptile such as a leopard gecko or a beardie. Savannah's, when older, have the potential to seriously harm you and take off fingers and crush bones. if you think you've had enough experience...id recommend 4 or 5 years...then a Savannah monitor might be in your experience level. now on to your question about buying online. its not a very good idea to buy online for a number of reasons... 1) most places have there animals in poor health and shipping them makes it worse. 2) if the reptile is healthy at the place the shipping of it usually sends the reptile into a state of shock and it could be very difficult to bring it back around if its health deteriorates. 3) your not guaranteed to get the reptile in the picture. most of the time the reptile you'll get is completely different.
