What is the highest temperature a human can survive?

What reptiles can survive at room temperature?

  • I am not new to owning reptiles, as I have owned over a dozen in the past; anoles, house geckos, bearded dragons, garden snakes, etc. However, I need to know which reptiles can survive at room temperature, with no extra lighting, if there are any. I have to be rather discreet with owning it, due to my housing arrangement. I can manage to give it some extra lighting when I'm in the room and provide a heating rock, but I still would like to know which reptiles can survive without extra heating. Thanks.

  • Answer:

Crested geckos do well in room temps. But, no matter what reptile you get, NEVER use heat rocks! Anyone who owns reptiles knows this... Also, most snakes actually need supplemental heating. The most common is under tank heaters WITH a thermostat.

Crested geckos do best at room temp as long as it is between 70 and 80 during the day and can drop to 65 at night. He rocks arent a good idea because if the reptiles goes on top of it the reptile can become seriously burned. Although water dragons HAVE to have lighting.

Erynne

First off, throw the heat rock in the dump. Heat rocks can overheat and usually can burn the hell outta reptiles. Crested geckos, garter snakes and ribbons etc.

Ramonio

Crested geckos, water dragons and most colubrid snakes

Molly
