How are double yolk eggs made?

My bearded dragons eggs are deflating?

  • My bearded dragon laid 12 eggs last night. I put them into a temporary home made incubator until my hova-bator arrived today. in the time between the eggs started to deflate. I got curious and opened the most deflated egg. there was yolk, and a tiny little red black and clear embryo in the middle. does this mean the rest could still be alive? i will keep them in the incubator but i am curious as to what other people say about my situation.

Ummm. These people apparently haven't ever heard of a bearded dragon. "Where did you get a dragon from?" Lol. Okay, but anyway. The rest may still have a chance of being alive. As long as they don't 'deflate' any further. I say leave them under the incubator, and remember to turn them every so often, so you don't accidentally 'cook' one side. Keep a close eye on them, and remember that it's common for your first clutch of eggs to turn for the worse. Practice makes perfect. :)

I've had Basilisks and we would never move the eggs and had several successful clutches. We would wait until we saw the little guys popping out of the ground and then take them to another tank.
