When will my budgie/parakeet lay an egg?

Why did my turtle lay and egg? please answer my question for the safety of my turtle!?

• questions yes we had a male turtle 1:people say that turtles lay unfertilize eggs what does that mean? 2:well my turtle laid and egg yesterday in my bathroom and its been about 20 hours since that so will my turtle lay eggs or is it possible it will lay more because people say they lay 20eggs but my turtle is the size of a baseball a little smaller s will it lay eggs today or not possible .? 3:i left my turtle in a container with 3inches of dirt is that enough if she does lay more eggs?3 4:people say tht turtles lay unfertilize eggs idk what that means can someone explain this ? well thanks answer all of them if u can and number them and im taking this seriusly i asked more questions then from the original but the main one is quesion number two cus my turtle has been in a container for pretty long time now and hasnt laid eggs if u think she wont lay eggs now tell me tht way i put her in water please answer no stupid answers please

  1.) an egg that has not been fertilized by the male (like c most chicken eggs we eat, or if you've been to sex ed. class, what happens every month unless you mate... or in the turtle's case, the egg is fertilized by the male. (which means that they mated.) 2.) that depends... if it's a tortise, it might lay alot, if its a turtle it will lay about 2-10 eggs, or they sometimes only lay one every day... so it might take a while... 3.) probably.... maybe 4 or 5 inches would be better 4.) an egg that they lay just because... (like human woman's menstraul (spelling??) cycle, (we basically "lay" an egg, ours i just microscopic....) it's not fertilized by the male... the unfertilized eggs aren't for anything, but if the turtle didn't lay them, she'd be full of old, unfertilized eggs.
