What's a good place to buy a gecko if you live in the bay area,CA?

• Once I bought a baby leopard gecko at petsmart and it got sick within the first week so I had to return it and I got an adult one that I had the longest.I haven't had a gecko since and was thinking of buying a baby one but not sure what kinda yet because the last one I had was a madagascar ground gecko.I bought a baby leopard gecko at East Bay Varium in Berkeley but it had an accident and died.I don't want to buy one too expensive because certain geckos are cheaper at petsmart and some more expensive. And I'm not one to buy things online so there's no way id buy a living animal. I've also heard people on the internet say petsmart sells sick geckos and I want a healthy gecko.

  never buy from petco or petsmart keep your business in small stores cusomer satisfaction is there number one priority because they are so small and will often give you deals and save you some money i purchesed a crsted gecko from pet co when i was juust starting to breed reptiles it was the first one that i ever owned i asked about care feeding ect the guy told me to put a heat and uvb bulb on the tank i did this but what he failed to tell me was that they need humidity so when i came home from school i saw a ddried out crisp of my lizard about a week later i went to a shop called scales and tails in denver with the same intention to buy a crested gecko except it was about an hour of conversation making sure i had all the knowledge id need i took it home and kept it for about 5-4 years until my cousen unlocked the terrarium and threw it at the wall and broke its back it was paralized so i took it to my vet and had it put it down after scales and tails banned me for about a year they wouldent even let me buy feeders for my tegus i have now the point of all this is that the small stores care about there animals and will make sure nothing goes unchecked and will sometimes they will give you special offers or will have major sales. but to answer your original question see if there is a scales n tails in your location
