Has my Fire-bellied Newt Laid eggs?
-
I have had my two fire-bellies for 2 weeks now, yesterday i noticed one was on bottom of the tank with its tail high in the air and the bulge under its tail was big larger than usual, to be honest i tought it was going to do a 'toilet'. I later noticed that on one of the leaves in the tank were two jellied like bubbles with little white specs inside. The newt itself now is fine and i have not seen any tail lifting or anything since. I have got pictures, although not very clear. I have detached the leaf and put it into a separate container, just incase. as i have read that if they are eggs the newt may eat them. Some help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
