How do you make a lizard trap?

  • A lizard catcher.....a trap like a stick that can get the lizard.. i will return it back to the wild. i just wanna catch 1. catchin in a bucket is hard

    Depends on the lizard, but in all honesty, a trap isnt a great way to catch them. They are actually pretty intelligent (hell they have outlived everything else[okay not all fungis and stuff, stop being so picky lol] so far). If you are going to catch one, physically catching with you hands is your best bet. I would reccomend you dont do that though, because many lizards are easily stressed and can die from getting to stressed.

You could use a minnow trap. Bait it with meat that will attract flies. The lizards will go after the flies. Some people use the sticky traps sold for mice. Vegetable oil will free the lizard. The old technique is to use a fly rod with very thin line, forming a noose. I have collected quite a few by shooting rubber bands at them just hard enough to stun them. The most commonly-used technique is hand-collecting.
