Yikes! I really hope that you did a bit of research before buying a CWD. A 10 gallon tank won't last you very long at all ... CWD's can grow to be three feet long! I'm currently working on building a cage that's six feet tall x 4 feet long x 3 feet deep. Here's a great website for water dragon care: http://www.triciaswaterdragon.com/dragoncr.htm Your little CWD is probably a little stressed after the move. It's quite scary for your little guy! Give him a day or two to really settle down into his new home and he'll start eating soon. Also, make sure that you're trying to feed him food that is moving and alive. Water dragons prefer insects that are moving. Good luck and have fun with your water dragon! They're amazing pets. ^_^

Congrats on your new CWD! They are notorious for being very easily stressed. They are hard to keep. It has relocation stress. Make sure the temps. are right. that it has a UVB light. 84-88 degress F. Night time temps 75-80 degrees F. Use no substrate, they eat it. Use paper towels so you can see if the poops are normal. No handling for at least a week. Just keep the cage clean. You will eventually have to make a cage as big a refrigerator. So start planning. Good luck :)

It's not uncommon for reptiles to not eat for the first few days after moving to a new home. That could be the problem. A description of your setup will help determine if anything else is amiss. Water dragons unfortunately are sold with gross misinformation, and tend to wind up in cages that are excessively too small for them. Rostral rub (mouth/nose sores from rubbing on cage walls) are extremely common with water dragons as a result. 10 gallons is way too small, even for a baby. For a baby I would recommend something at least 6 feet long (he needs an area to swim as well), and something even bigger for an adult.

It is probably just adjusting to its new enclosure and will take a few days to get comfortable in its new habitat. Reptiles don't need to eat as much or as often as mammals so it should be ok with a short fast. If it still has not eaten after a few days then another yahoo post is in order or a trip to the vet. 10 Gallons is too small for a lizard so upgrade it as soon as you can. Enjoy the new edition :) hope this helps.
