How can you tell if your bearded dragon is sick?

How can I tell if my bearded dragon is happy in his environment? With how I arranged his terrarium?

  • I just recently rearranged my bearded dragon's habitat and I was wondering how I could tell if he was happy or not.

    well they won't tell you that they are happy but you can sometimes tell when they are going back and forth from side to side. they will want out. also if they sit in one spot that they will pick for their fav spot. i have 2 of them and they sit in the same spot every day even after i put them away from being held. they would rather llike to be held then be in their tank. don't worry about him he is happy, and just hold him everyday and you will see his personality come out and would he will be like as to his behavior.

if he grows and thrives and eats then he is "happy" often reptiles (and rodents and birds even ) are kept in cages that are way too small for them.. Bearded Dragons need big cages at least 3 ft x 2 ft x 2ft tall - the bigger the better really....

I'm not an expert by any means but I would say if his activity level, eating, sleeping, and basking habits stay the same he is happy.

if every thing seems right then you know he is happy. i just move all the things around and my BD go lost so try not to move thing a lot. they seem to not like it,

if hes up and exploring, tasting his surroundings, when he basks his head should be up and when he moves if his tail is raised it means he is happy and alert
