What is the best kind of pet snake?

What kind of snake is best as a pet ?

  • im getting a snake soon . im thinking about getting a ball python or a boa constrictor ? which snake should i get, or do you think another one ? help ? please && thank youu :)

  • Answer:

Ball python would be a good snake to start with. They are low maintenance. Very laid back docile snakes. Also it does cost much to maintain. Its just coming up with the money to start. I've had my ball for a year and he is great. Never had a problem yet.I recently buy a central american boa and so far she good but they could be snippy you have to be cautious with them. My ball I fell comfortable sleeping with so that tells you how much I trust him.

Corn snakes are a good option as they only grow to about 4 feet and are fairly easy to take care of. Ball pythons are also a goo option for beginners. Look up corn snakes though, they have some great colors and they are not to expensive.

Albino python. Beautiful, and believe me totally loveable ^^

I would say ball python. Its smaller, and will take less time than other snakes to get used 2 humans. It is one of the most popular snake pets because of their "mello" behavior. Check out the article

I would suggest a smaller more handable snake. Those things can kill you and most of all most people give them away before full size because they get to like 10ft. long. I would suggest... Corn Snake Childs snake King snake Milk snake Any of those are great starter snakes. Hope i helped! :) B1ackberry1

ball pythons for the most part have a great temperment and they are my #1 choice for a beginer boas get PRETTY big (around 7-10 feet) and that can be expensive to cage. also I recomend most any kind of colubrid (ie-milksnake,ratsnake,kingsnake....etc)

I've had a ball python for about 10 years. Just know they live for a long time and they can get pretty strong. Be prepared to put a lot of money into building a good terrarium for it when it gets bigger. Also, I'd recommend trying to feed it dead mice at first, once it gets used to live it will expect it and will grow up to be agressive.

it depends on your knowledge level of snakes. i would say the easiest snake of all would be a corn snake of sorts.the stay small and are not poisonous and only require a 20 to 30 gallon tank, they also only require 1 to 2 adult mice a week. hope this helps.

If you're a first-time snake owner and don't have any experience with them, I would definitely recommend something small until you learn more about how to handle them. Corn snakes are pretty common pet snakes. Ball pythons are known for being very docile, and they only get to be about five feet long(something like that). I definitely would not recommend getting a boa constrictor if you've never owned a snake before. They get to be around 10 feet long, which could easily be unmanageable or dangerous for someone who doesn't really know what they're doing.
