My dog keeps pooping and peeing in the house?

We have another dog in our house and our current dog keeps peeing everywhere?

We are doing a rescue dog (taking care of him until he gets adopted out so he isn't put down) This is our first rescue dog in awhile. Our dog has no aggression issues at all, in fact he seems thrilled he has a "friend" But he literally just peed inside my house all over my carpet which is something he never does. I'm assuming he is marking his territory possibly?? Any ideas on what to do?

  You are absolutely right. He's marking what he considers his territory and that's his way of letting the other dog know this, unfortunately that includes the carpet inside your house. Banning all dogs from inside your house for the duration of the other dog's stay with you or get used to cleaning up after your dog. The option of training your dog to resist marking territory inside your house will take longer and may not always work, as dogs exhibit this behaviour instinctively in response to a new dog in their territory.
