What do you do when the previous owners break into your house?

ATTENTION PAPILLON OWNERS!!! Are Papillons difficult to house break? ?

I am getting a Papillon this summer and am curious about the experiences others have had in the area of housebreaking and Papillons. I already know how to house break a dog, I just want to know what people have experienced with Papillons in particular.

Papillions are one of the smarter toy breeds. As a breed they shouldn't be particularly more difficult to train than the average dog. Of course there are always individuals within a breed that prove to be an exception. Choose a pup from a breeder who raises the pups in her own home, not in a kennel, and who keeps her whelping area and puppies spotlessly clean. Dogs raised from birth clean learn to perceive that as natural and being filthy as unnatural. It makes them a bit easier to house train.
