How does a vet completely sedate a dog?
-
My dog, Molly, freaks out whenever we take her to the vet. Even getting her nails clips, she snarls and tries to bite them. They are going to sedate her for her annual physical and I was wondering how they would do it?
-
Answer:
Probably a fast-acting sedative injection - they are faster and more reliable than an ingested sedative. She will be kind of "dopey" for a few hours so monitor her near stairs or other things she could hurt herself by tripping over or running into.
