How do you brush your teeth?

How to make my dog stop licking when I brush her teeth?

• I have a very well-trained Shiba-inu, she's excellent. <3 Asides from knowing lots of stunts and tricks, she's used to being handled, carried, groomed, and having her nails clipped because I do it often. (Before you throw out your suggestions, I already know how to and how often to take care of a Shibas grooming needs, I don't need advice on that) I need advice on how to stop having her eat the toothpaste while I'm brushing her teeth. I can brush her teeth with my dry finger or a bare brush just fine. She just sits there and lets me "brush" her teeth and gums just fine, she'll even keep her mouth open when I reach her back ones. The problem is when I use toothpaste, she loves the flavor and keeps licking! That tongue never stops and it makes it hard to brush! Any ideas?

  i have the same problem with dog!!! I honostly dont think you can stop them from doing that
