How do I kill flea EGGS specifically in my home?

How to kill flea eggs on 6 week old kittens?

  • My friend and I rescued two kittens after their miter had been hit. We have used dawn dish soap to clear them of all fleas, but I'm worried about flea eggs. Flea shampoos usually can not be used until they are 12 weeks old. Is there a natural remedy I can use for the eggs? Or has dawn dish soap done the job? Thank you!

  • Answer:

The kittens need to be dewormed. They ingest the flea eggs which causes worms. I would take a flea comb and comb them daily. Wash their bedding and vacuum the floor. If you see another flea, give them another bath. Baths are not good for kittens, but neither is fleas. There is an Advantage topical solution that can be applied to kittens under 4 pounds, but I would call a vet and ask first. Good luck

Other answers

You need to contact a veterinarian - they can help you eliminate the fleas safely. Most medications can't be used on kittens that young. Dawn dish soap probably will not solve your problem. Unfortunately, natural remedies usually don't work.
