Hi Lulu...every vet has different fees for services and vet visit. If you can ring several different local vets and ask them what are their fees for a visit, exam this will give you a baseline of what to expect. Because your cat sounds like she has an Upper Respiratory Infection (URI) this needs medical attention--see links below to learn more about URI's. If the URI has developed beyond the basic symptoms as you are describing by the noises she could become ill without any treatment, but without examing the cat physically it's difficult to be certain. You can also ask a vet if there other vets in the region who can provide low fee services for you if you need financial help and are considered low income. Some local animal shelters can also advise you where to get these low fee services if none of the vets are helpful. I hope your kitty gets treated soon and recovers quickly.

A vet exam around here is $44 for an office call. Then at least you will have an idea of what's going on. The vets will usually give you amoxicilin or something like that. It's to prevent a secondary bacterial infection. A bottle of that is around $14. Her upper respiratory problems are most likely to be viral and that's not curable with antibiotics. So at least do an office call and then you maybe can plan with the vet how to proceed from there and he/she will inform you of the probable costs.

It will likely cause you $100 to $140 for check up, antibiotics your cat may desperately need...since he can't shake the cold. keep him warm....and don't let him outside when it's cold. don't give him milk.. lots of water and no baths til well if you do give him them. tc

Take at least $100.00 to the Vet...and just in case he has some disease ...tell them you would have to pay monthly...because that is all you can afford to do...(Then there's nothing the Veterinarian's office can do)....they have to let you!!!

ok..office visit...25 to 35 medicine..20 to 40 if she has temperature and is sick no vaccines will be given maybe run a combo test....50 these are alljust guesses..every clinic has different prices..but i would say expect to spend at least 100 or more... it al depends on what is wrong with her..good luck
Sounds like an upper respiratory infection. Your cat desperately needs some Clavamox. Make payment arrangements w/ the vet, find out about vaccinating and spaying/neutering, PLEASE. This will not go away on its own and your cat is really uncomfortable with it.

Don't remember the standard doctor fee for routine visits, but you can call your vet and find out.Explain what is going on and you have little money and such-maybe they can recommend a home remedied to get you through until you can take her to the vet. Good Luck!

Well how much it will cost depends on #1 where you live and #2 what is actually wrong with her. It sounds like she might have a cold, allergies, or upper respiratory infection. I would definitely take her if you can afford it. Around here vets usually charge ~$20 to $30 for a check up. If you are concerned with cost tell the vet upfront that you do not have much extra cash. He might be able to tell you some "people" medicine that you can give her (I did that for my dog) or maybe they can work out a payment plan or something. Good luck!
