  • What type of cat sickness involves sneezing, green mucus in ear and reddish discharge from nose mean?? I'm asking this because last week someone dropped off two cats that obviously have been spayed because of ears clipped...I've been putting food out for them and water 3 times daily to help them, unfortunately. i can't take them in due to my cat who's not good with others plus i don't even know what they have, could be upper respiratory, ...i can't afford to take them to vet but have called numerous rescues, shelters, posted a ad on craigslist, facebook and petfinder and no luck...so i'm doign what i can, cleaned them up, got them flea collars, cleaned there ears...i even made them a safe spot near the front of my condos...if i take them to the other shelters the ones that give days if that but in their case they would probably get put down fist since they are sick...they are slowly gaining weight but the sneezing is still going on and the nose and ear discharge...i want to know what this may be...they are getting plenty of love and attention but hoping to find a home where they will be inside and have the vet care they need...

  • Answer:

looks like symptoms of cat respiratory disease, and it can spread to other cats, it is a virus, cat flu. don,t let them near your house cat, or he might catch it, and it will cost a vets bill for anti-biotics, the mortality rate in infected cats is low...
