Blu-ray video: MPEG2 vs AVC?
-
what is the difference between blu-ray video formats? I have the original BR release of Predator and the box says MPEG2 @ 19 MBPS I got the new release today and the box says AVC @ 33 MBPS I also picked up the BR versions of Alien Vs. Predator and AVP2 and those boxes are the same... one says MPEG2 @ 18 MBPS and the other is AVC @ 29 MBPS. Does one give a better picture quality or something b/c the original release looked more up-scaled DVD than Blu-Ray quality.
