How do I playback my voice through my speakers?

Static sounds on Blu-Ray playback through Bose Cinemate speakers.?

  • I've been playing Blu-Ray discs through my Playstation 3 using my t.v. speakers for a the last few months without any trouble. However, recently I've started using my Bose Cinemate speakers on the t.v. For the majority of the Blu-Ray discs that I play through the Cinemate speakers via the Playstation sound normal. However, I have two discs in particular that playback with a large amount of static (through the Bose speakers only, and not through the t.v. - Disney's Tinkerbell and Appaloosa). Game playback is normal as well. Not sure what might be the situation. Any help is appreciated.

  • Answer:

It sounds like your system is working correctly. Some Disney movies on DVD come with poor sound. Typically they are only in 2 Channel Stereo. One thing to try with those movies is to set your system up to only play in stereo mode. You can see that some disney movies sound is horrible by playing a new Disney movie, especially those that are with Pixar. The reason your tv speakers play it fine is because they are not as sensitive as Bose. One last thing that may help, if you haven't done it already. Hook up your PS3 directly to your receiver. Do not go from the PS3 to the tv and then to the receiver, you will always get degraded sound coming from your tv to a receiver. Hope that helps.
