What is a good home theatre system for under 400 dollars?

  • Im getting a new home theatre system to go with my samsung tv in my bedroom All I really need out of a good system is the ability to hear voices and good volume otherwise Im not too picky I don't really need full 3d sound because my room is set up kind of weird but it would be a nice addition.

Those home theater in a box are not very good and reliable. The one that I would like for you to see is the Onkyo HT-S3400, it is a 5.1 receiver and a set of speakers. This is more flexible for adding and upgrade, which those home theater in a box are not. Just add a Panasonic blu ray disc play model BD-65 and you have a nice system. The Onkyo is under $400 and the blu ray disc player about $100. Hope this will help you out.

I would go with a sound bar from Boston Acoustic or Polk Audio or Zvox...for better sound in tight spaces
