Is there any way to get sound from both my PS3 and surround sound? In audio options I have to choose?
-
I have the PS3 connected to the surround sound receiver with an optical cable. When using the TV, I can get both the sound of the TV and the surround sound, but can't get this to work through the PS3.

Answer:
Why would you want to? External speakers should be far better than anything built into your TV. If you really want to have your TV speakers working also, just run a standard audio cable from a stereo output on your receiver to the audio input on your TV. But the sound you get from the digital hookup to your receiver is so far superior to anything you can get from your TV that it isn't really worth your while to even bother hooking up the TV for sound.
