Connecting TV's head phone socket to home theater system - can this be done to hear TV programs?
-
I have 46" Samsung LED TV with optical audio out - i tried connecting the TV to home theater using an optical to RCA converter but it did not work. Can I hear my TV audio through home theater speakers if I connect the Head Phone's socket on the TV to my Home Theater DVD? If so, what would be the correct cables to use for this purpose. As of now, I am unable to buy the surround sound receiver.

Answer:
"i tried connecting the TV to home theater" . it's unusual a home theater does not have optical inputs or RCA (white-red or black-red) audio plug? Maybe if you could specify more like posting the brand and model of your "home theater".
