How can I connect Wireless Headphones to my LG TV?

Question about connecting headphones/earphones to lg plamsa tv?

• if any one could help me with this id be very greatfull i used to have a normal tv with a port in the side of it for heaphones it clearly had a headphone sign on it and it worked fine, however recently i brought a LG Plasma TV and there is no socket for headphones ive looked all over and tried pluggin in different wires ect nothing works ive brought some wires of amazon to see if they would help but they didnt is there a specifc wire or product anyone would suggest i purchased that would allow me to connect my headphones to my tv if so please could u give me an exact name as ive read before about audio jacks ect and theres so many and what ports do i connect to ? thanks.

  Most tv tv does not provide for a headphone jack. The only audio output the tv provides is an optical audio. This has to be connected to a receiver or a home theater in a box with an optical audio input. The signal is digital with multi channel surround sound, which has to be decoded by a Dolby Digital decoder. Some receivers do not offer a headphone jack connection, you will just have to shop around and see what receiver has one. Hope this will help you out.
