A lot of static when piping my computer's audio and video to my TV?
-
I recently bought a headphone jack and a VGA cable so I can watch movies on my computer through my TV> However, when I hook them up, they work OK (I can see the picture and hear the sound), but I'm getting a bit of flickering and a bunch of static behind the sound from the TV speakers. The static remains as long as the computer and TV are connected, whether I'm playing anything or not. My computer's about 3 years old, and my TV is a high-quality Samsung. Is there anything I can do to correct this problem, or do I just need a new computer?

Answer:
