How to install an in wall volume control for a home theater system?

The volume controls for my home theater system are an annoyance to operate and I would like to install a volume control in my wall. My home theater system is in a single room so I would like to know how I could go about doing this. Please provide specific instructions and help is greatly appreciated.

I don't think that you can do this. The vast majority of volume controls are stereo, so they can control 2 channels of sound simultaneously. But your home theatre has more than 2 channels!

It depends on the brand of volume control you use and how your system is wired now, and what other equipment you are using or have installed... take a look at HTD and see what they have usually the volume control that you buy will come with wiring instruction....
