Does ps3 bought in the usa play region free blu-ray dvds?

i asked a question like this earlier said multi-region but i want to buy matrix region free blu-ray and i read on the ps3 box plays region 1 or all so does that mean it does? has someone played region free blu-rays on there ps3?

Region free (or all region) Blu-ray disks will play on a Region A PS3. For a list of which movies are region coded see the link. The Matrix is part of the Ultimate Matrix Collection (only way it was released on Blu-ray).
