How can I connect Wireless Headphones to my LG TV?

How to connect headphones directly to a Seagate GoFlex TV media player?

  • I have a Seagate GoFlex TV media player and want to connect headphones directly to it. It's hooked up to TV via HDMI and I get adequate sound from the TV's own speakers, but headphones would be much better. I have tried plugging headphones directly into the AV out connector on the media player but only get audio in the left channel. The TV does not have a headphone or audio out connection (it's a 32LG300C, a commercial model, in my hotel room). I have also posted on the community forums at Seagate but no answer. Can anyone please help? Thanks!

  • Answer:

Get a adapter cable that has red/white RCA plugs on one end, and a headphone jack on the other. Make sure it's a STEREO adapter, or you will only get mono sound. Radio Shack has these for a few bucks. Plug the red/white cables into the audio output on the Seagate Media Player.
