How do I connect my Blu Ray player to my wireless Internet?

How do I connect my blu-ray player to the internet?

  • I recently purchased a Sharp BD-HP35U model blu-ray and it has wifi. However, all the features that uses the internet will not let me connect and says failed to connect to the internet. How do I connect to the internet?

  • Answer:

In order to make your blu ray player work you need a high speed internet connection and also a wireless N 300 router, you need to establish a network for the Computer the blu ray and what ever other devices you use ie lap top printer etc...using the base computer you establish the network, you may need a pass word or other code to do this depending on how the router establishes the connection, your network connection needs to be set to public sharing in the computer; start by turning everything on and use the computer to detect the router, then see if you can detect the blu ray player the TV screen may have a code or pass word that you need to install in order to comlete the connection once established the blu ray will let you know via the HDTV screen, also many blu ray players need to be connected to the HDTV via HDMI in order for the connection to work....a 150 wireless N router will also work but you may have some connection speed problems with some sites using one....so that is why a 300 router is recommended...

Check the Manual, if you do not have the Manual just Google your model online for Wifi connections, you might have to enter your Key of Wifi manually into your Bluray player on the Menu screen
