Do all or most dvd players support MPEG format?
-
-
Answer:
By necessity ALL DVD-Video players MUST support MPEG-2 (ISO/IEC 13818 - Parts 1 and 2) and MPEG-1 (ISO/IEC 13818 Part 3) CODECs; it's an essential part of the DVD-Video specification. Likewise, Blu-ray and HD DVD players must also support MPEG-2 as well new MPEG-4 AVC (aka, H.264) (ISO/IEC 14496-10) and VC-1 CODECs.
