Best Music System that is better then Bose?

What Better Bose Wave music system or the Bose Acoustic Wave music systems as a a hifi system?

  • No cheap shots at Bose please out the two system above which one is better (or less of two evils as some people may see it)

  • Answer:

Seriously this isn't a cheap shot... Bose doesn't make hifi systems. I'm not hating on Bose, I'm just saying they're a lifestyle system. It's more about style then sound with them. To be honest, you wouldn't notice a difference, they both sound the same. They're just marketed differently with the intent of making profits for Bose. sorry to say that. If you want better sound, go elsewhere. If you want to be in with the styles, go with Bose. that's the simple truth. Best of luck to you

"Better" is not relevant when talking about the sound quality of anything from Bose. If you want to buy Bose, then you will be buying it because of the way it looks, not because of the way it sounds (and anything made by Bose sounds lousy, anyway). Sound quality is not important to people who buy Bose equipment. Nobody with any sense will recommend anything made by Bose, simply because their products are such poor value for money. If you are so set on buying something from Bose, then just buy whatever the smarmy salesman tells you to - that's how most people get conned into the Bose hype. Buy Other Stereo Equipment

Hi, this not a shot at Bose I think they do a good job at getting bigger sound from small units, but there are things to consider. Both wave systems have very little room for expansion as far as what you can connect to them. Also keep in mind there is no preamp outputs to even add anymore speakers. The wave and acoustic wave systems have built in amps that are restrictive in dynamic headroom as well. I think for close to the same money you can get an entry level Denon AVR with a better amp section in terms of output and headroom, and a set of good bookshelf speakers. The UK has some great loudspeakers KEF and Wharfedale come to mind. If you go with an AVR and bookshelfs you will have expansion options down the road and a better amp section for the money. If you go with Bose I would listen to both and choose the one that sounds the best with your own music.

Bose is over priced and over rated junk! I've been an audio aficionado for over 50 years. You are buying a clock radio with frills. You can get 3 times the audio for half the price. It takes air movement to make quality sound and Bose comes no where near producing proper air movement with their so called acoustic wave BS. Get yourself a Pioneer receiver/amp and a good set of Technics speakers and sub woofer .
