What is the best setup for my home theater system?

How to FULLY setup home theater system?

  • I have an older 5.1 Panasonic home theater system. I have it hooked up to where when I watch DVDs it plays in surround. How do I get my Playstation, xbox, Wii and TV to play out of the surround sound speakers. I have a newer Vizio LCD HDTV. Do I need an audio receiver?

  • Answer:

Yer i had the same problem before. You need to buy a seperate adapter, im not sure what its called, but you connect it to the surround sound system, it has multiple ports (i.e extra yellow, red, white inputs). You can get it from any electronic store. Its kind of like a multi-port. If not, you'll just have to manually change the -yellow, red, white- wires everytime you change from watching dvds to gaming etc

What model numbers? We cannot help you "fully" without the full details of your system. Include model numbers for TV, HTIB, etc.. Then we can make a determination.

far as I know that system doesn't have any composite inputs, only a built in dvd player and 5.1 speaker line outputs, and maybe 1 video out only.... get the model numbers if you have time
