AV cable problem, I really need help?!!?

i only have one av slot in my tv (LG LCD TV) i want to use both my dvd AND WII at the same time so i can use the remote to switch from AV to Component, my dvd is working fine, but my wii which is connected to the component slot works in gray color only. how can i get colors for my wii to work properly? plz help.

Do this, plug your DVD into component to the tv and wii into av that means Y Pb Pr on the dvd to Y Pb Pr on the tv ( don't get the audio red confused with Pb) now plug wii into AV yellow red and white now press input to switch between AV and COMPONENT. good luck :) also you can turn progressive scan on on your DVD and you will get smoother images also, peace!

AV or Composite cable are not compatible. Just get The WII component cable http://www.amazon.com/Official-Wii-Component-Video-Cable-Nintendo/dp/B000JJRV90 You may find an off brand cheaper if you look around.
