Can I play Region 2 DVDs/Blu-rays on my Blu-ray player?
-
I have a Vizio VBR100 blu-ray player. I want to buy a UK series on DVD or blu-ray that would be region 2. It says in the manual that "you can play the discs if the video was recorded in standard NTSC format" It also says: But it cannot play if the blu-ray discs do not have a region code of A And cannot play if the DVDs do not have a region code of 1 or ALL So, my question basically is... can I buy the series at least on DVD and have it play on my player?

Answer:
Nope, European discs would be Region B for Blu-ray and Region 2 for DVD, neither of which an NTSC player would play. You need a regular Region 2 or region free player.
