Are there any safer options than a keylogger?

My guitar cabinet is done! I have two options and need advice as to which option is safer:?

• I'm looking at 2x12 8 Ohms + 8 Ohms = 16 Ohms wired in a series OR 8 Ohms / 8 Ohms = 4 Ohms wired in parallel. All of my amps, except my blues deluxe put out either 8 Ohms or 16 Ohms. I would like to use it with all of them and will buy a Weber Z-Matcher (or if you know of a better Ohm matcher, please let me know), but for now, which is safer? Wired in a Series (16 Ohms) or wired in parallel (4 Ohms) for my 8 Ohm amps? The amps I'll be primarily using are: Fender Deluxe Reverb RI, Fender Blues Deluxe RI, Fender Super Champ XD, Vox AC4 and VOX ac30. The speakers are 2 V30's 8 Ohm's each. THANK YOU FOR ADVICE!!!

  Hello there, You normally match the impedance of the speakers you buy to fit what you need. Looks like you bought some speakers and now are trying to figure out how you can actually use them. With tube amps, no impedance mismatch is safe. If your amp is 8 ohms, you must have your speaker cab wired for 8 ohms. If your amp is 4 ohms, you must have your speaker cab wired for 4 ohms. If none of your amps are 4 ohms or 16 ohms, there is no safe way to use your speaker cab. Well, you could wire only one of the speakers and leave the other disconnected, if you have 8 ohms amps. That would be the only safe thing to do. Go through your amps and figure how what impedance is needed in your cab. If it is 8 ohm, just wire in one 8 ohm speaker. If your amp is 4 ohm, then wire the 2 speakers parallel. Whatever you do, you must have impedance match between a tube amp and a speaker cab. I am assuming you have Celestion Vintage 30s. Those have a 60 watt capibility. I have some serious doubts that a Super Champ has enough power to drive a 120 watt speaker cab properly. Later,
