Can i connect a new dvd player to my dvd-home-theater system ?

    Yes you can. Page 10 of the manual shows the connections. Connect the audio output of the external DVD player to the inputs on the rear of the home theater system as shown on page 23 of the manual. The home theater only accepts composite video or s-video connections. If your external DVD player has some other type of connection (component, DVI, HDMI) then you will have to connect the video outputs of the DVD player directly to the TV monitor and select the appropriate video input using the controls from the TV. Those home theater in a box are not flexible for adding anything to them. What you can do is connect the new dvd player directly to the tv and then connect an optical audio cable from the tv to the home theater. Providing that your home theater has an optical audio cable input. Those home theater in a box are designed for you to watch a movie with surround sound only. When one item fails the whole system has to be replaced. Hope this will help you out.

Not really. According to that manual - you only have left/right analog inputs on that box. This means your new DVD player can only send Stereo to the unit, not 5.1. This is why I dont like these all-in-one units - you cannot hook anything up to them or they give you the lowest possible connection: left/right analog.
