Any suggestions on a wireless home theatre system?

Home theatre system for my Ps3 in my room?

• I'm thinking of getting a home theatre/surround sound system for my PS3 because the sound quality on my Vizio sucks. My budget is between 100-250 since i'm only 16 and work for minimum wage. But does any home theatre/ surround sound have the audio input from the PS3 to the reciever? And also, my room is small, 20x20 ft room, so don't need anything big. Any suggestions about installations, models to get, other stuff, feel free. thanks

  I recently bought a Philips Home Theater System for $150 and have just hooked it up to my PS3. Let's just say that the sound is *awesome*. Here's my advice: 1) Be sure the HTS (home theater system) has an optical input since your PS3 has an optical output in the back. Unless a TOSLINK cable comes with the HTS, you'll have to buy one separately to hook the PS3 to the HTS. Don't buy it instore unless you want to get ripped off since their prices go for about $17 and up. On Amazon, I bought a high quality TOSLINK cable for $3, shipping already included. 2) Be sure the HTS can decode Dolby Digital. That's the sound format that your PS3 sends out and it allows you to hear true surround sound, ie. if an enemy walks behind you, you hear that noise coming out of the back speaker(s). 3) The model I bought was Philips hts3371d which has five speakers and a subwoofer. Don't buy the cheap Coby and RCA HTSs in this price range because I've read many reviews that they offer mediocre sound, bad build quality, and unrealistic surround sound. The one I got had the best bang for the buck IMO. Finally, after you're all hooked up, be sure to configure the PS3 to send its audio information out via the TOSLINK cable (aka digital optical cable).
