What does Rear RCA output mean?

Power Supply of RCA speaker?

  • recently i bought a pair of speackers inorder to connect them to my DVD player. the speaker is RCA model rs2532. each speaker has two pair of wires. one pair is to connect to Audio output and the other pair is to connect to power unit. I dont know which type of power I should have (I mean voltage and type of the power unit?) it seems not suitable to plug into home electricity directly. which type of adaptor I will need? thanks for your replies

  • Answer:

According to my search the RCA RS2532 is a mini system, 5 disk cd changer, radio and dual cassette. It sounds like you have just the speakers and not the complete system. If this is true, I don't think you can use them for your DVD player. http://reviews.cnet.com/audio-shelf-systems/rca-rs2532-mini-system/1707-6721_7-31272203.html

The power should be listed right about the power cable connector, or on a stick on the rear of this sound system. Depending on how powerful the system is it can be anywear from 9-24VDC. Assuming its a standard circular DC power supply you can go to RadioShack and pick one up for about 15 bucks. Unfortunately, I cant see the type of connect which is usually a dead give away of what type of power input it needs
