How to hook up my Wii to my HDTV via a blu ray player?
-
I used to have my Wii connected to my dvd player, which was connected to my HDTV through the audio video cables (the blue, green, and red ones). The dvd player went out the other day, so I went out and bought a blu-ray player and an HDMI cable. I hooked up my blu-ray player to the HDTV with the HDMI cable and it works fine, but now I can't get my Wii to work with it like it did with the old dvd player. The red, white, and yellow video and audio cables are attached properly, but when I switch my TV input to the blu-ray player and turn the Wii on nothing happens. Any suggestions? The guys selling me the blu-ray player told me it would work fine with the Wii. Thanks!

Answer:
No, you can't. You have to connect composite cables ( red, white & yellow ) directly from Wii to TV for audio and video. A blu-ray player doesn't have any audio and video inputs unless it is a Blu-ray player with amp built-in ( Home Theater System ).
