Connecting my laptop to HDTV using HDMI?

  • I want to connect my windows vista laptop (Gateway T-628) to my Sanyo HDTV via HDMI connection. The problem is when I first connect my laptop to the HDTV using the HDMI, windows ask me if i want a "mirror" image, so I click ok. I got a mirror image but the resolution is not good, meaning all the icons are to big so I have to adjust the resolution. After that I can only see my desktop wallpaper on the HDTV and all the desktop icons were gone. I don't know what to do. I did some research and they say you have to drag the window to match the monitors but I already doing that and nothing happens. I really need your help guys, I will appreciate all your answers.

you just have to drag and drop the icons on the desktop, and about the big Icons you will have to adjust it in your video card settings, may be intel,, Nvidia or ATI .
