How to watch YouTube HD through Sony Blu-ray player?

How do I play Itunes through Sony bluray player?

• I have the new Sony bdp-s380 bluray player and a Sony flat screen and Xbox all set up with internet. I can watch youtube, pandora and a bunch of other web content but I tried plugging in my iphone through the usb port and it said it is not recognized (I imagine because Apple content is protected). I was thinking of buying the Bose theatre speaker system (the one that costs about $600) so I can listen to movie sound in better quality but also I wanted to be able to watch and listen to my itunes (video and music). So is there any way I can do this? Is there a port I can buy for the bluray player? Is there some software that will do this? What's the best and easiest way to solve this probably pretty common issue? Thanks all!

  To play from USB you have to select music from the Crossbar menu, then USB. You will then have access to the music on your iPhone. Apple content protection is to prevent people buying music then putting on the internet for other people to download for free, not to stop people listening to their music on their home cinema. A better alternative would be to buy an HDMI cable, plug one end into your PC (preferably laptop) and the other into your HDTV (if you have one). This way you can use your PC through the TV screen and play any music or movie files you want. Hope this helps, Cameron
