How can I connect my laptop to my Home Theatre?

What cable/s is required to connect a laptop to a home theatre system?

  • I need to know what cables i need to connect my laptop to the back of my home theatre system as there are no ports available to use on the actual projector.

  • Answer:

If u want to connect video you can connect it by svideo. if you just want the audio out you can buy a 3.5mm jack to rca cable from an electronics or audio kind of place. If your home theatre has svideo buy an svideo to svideo cable or use a converter like i do which you plug into the svideo port and it converts it to composite (rca) so then u can use an rca cable to connect it into the video socket of your home theatre. So if you want to connect the sound only use a 3.5mm jack (male) to rca (male) cable. And for video use an svideo to composite converter and use an rca to rca cable to connect to home theatre.
