All TVs are different, so if you have a question about how to use one, try to list the exact make and model. D-Sub is a VGA cable, the kind that runs from your PC to your regular monitor. The source probably says PC or analog on your TV. You'll need to connect your audio to your TV also, or connect it to your sound system. If your video card has HDMI, you should be able to just use an HDMI for both audio and video from your PC. If it has DVI, you can also connect using a DVI cable or a DVI to HDMI cable, but you won't get audio over that cable. To connect your audio, you can run an audio cable (3.5 mm to RCA) from your sound card or from an optical output, depending on which sound connections your PC has.

I am not sure what you are asking. I have a 32" HDTV that i periodically hook my desktop up to. You just plug it into the blue port on the TV. Yes, you will need a set of speakers to here music or youtube videos through the computer.
